Siasia releases players for league matches

By Ojeikere Aikhoje

Super Eagles coach, Samson Siasia, has released players at the Eagles
Abuja camp for the weekend’s matches in the Nigeria Premier League.

Siasia told the players to be back on Monday.

“You should go back to your clubs and help them in the league matches
this weekend. Whoever is not here on Monday should count himself out
of the running for a shirt”, said Siasia as the players had lunch at
their Bolton white apartments camp before their departure to different
parts of the country.

Siasia’s Eagles played a 2-2 draw with the national Under-20 side, the
Flying Eagles at the artificial turf of the Fifa technical centre,
Abuja.

The match was watched by chairman of the NFF technical committee,
Barrister Chris Green, vice chairman of the committee, Felix Anyansi
Agwu and acting general secretary, Barrister Musa Amadu.

After the match, Green charged the players to remain disciplined at
their clubs and in the national camp.

“You must be ready to listen to the technical crew at all times,
because if the coach says you are out, then you are out. Be assured
that the Nigeria Football Federation will give the team the needed
support at all times”, he said.

A total of 27 players featured during the Super Eagles preparation for
the Obama tourney.
