NSC, NFF harmony excites FIFA official

FIFA Development Officer for West Africa, Mr. Sampon Kablan has commended the new, great working relationship between the National Sports Commission and the Nigeria Football Federation, stating that such harmony and understanding were imperative to the successful implementation of development programmes.

Speaking on Tuesday during a courtesy call on the Honourable Minister/Chairman, National Sports Commission, Professor Taoheed Adedoja in his office, the Ivorian lauded the wisdom of the new leadership of the NFF and pledged to push very hard for more FIFA goal projects for Nigeria.

“In this my first visit to Nigeria as the FIFA Development Officer for Nigeria, a great footballing nation, I am delighted to see that there is harmony, peace and understanding between the important bodies responsible for the game. In any country where there is such understanding, FIFA is always willing to assist.

“I have visited the FIFA Technical Centre and observed that Nigeria is far behind in the FIFA goal projects. With your permission and support, I am ready to help push for more development projects for this country.

“Nigeria is a great footballing nation and FIFA feels bad when there are crises and controversies. It is not good for development. Responding, Professor Adedoja thanked the FIFA official and assured of him of total support for his desire to push hard for more FIFA goal projects for Nigeria.

“I am happy to let you know that we have a Mr. President who is a committed and keen lover of sports. Go ahead and push for more FIFA projects for Nigeria. I can assure you of quality support also from the Nigeria Football Federation because we have competent and committed people in the Executive Committee”, said Professor Adedoja.
