NFF General Assembly salutes Maigari led exco

The Nigeria Football Federation General Assembly has passed a vote of confidence on the executive committee led by its President, Alhaji Aminu Maigari.

In a communique signed by chairman, communiqué drafting committee, Chidi Ofo Okenwa, the General Assembly applauded the NFF boss for his impressive performance. since his assumption of office

The General Assembly approved the sum of N6.8 billion as budget for the activities and programmes of the Nigeria Football Federation for the Year 2011 and also approved the audited account of the Nigeria Football Federation for the Year 2009.

In addition, the congress resolved that elections into the State FAs be conducted on or before January 10, 2011. Officials of the NFF will monitor and supervise the polls.

It stated that elections into the National amateur and women’s leagues be conducted by the NFF electoral committee by January 28, 2011 and the delegates to the elections shall be the club owners/administrators, who shall have be entitled to one vote each.

The congress also resolved that its decision of 26th August, 2010 in Abuja concerning former chairman, Alhaji Sani Lulu Abdullahi, former first vice-president, Amanze Uchegbulam and former secretary-general, chief Taiwo Ogunjobi, be vacated in the spirit of reconciliation.

It urged all members of the football family with football matters pending in ordinary courts to withdraw same in the spirit of sportsmanship while, imploring the executive committee of the NFF to open up a channel of communication in resolving such disputes including the matter in the Court of Arbitration for Sports with former members of its executive committee.
