Maigari congratulates new Sports Minister

President of the Nigeria Football Federation, (NFF), Alhaji Aminu Maigari, has congratulated the newly appointed Minister of Sports and Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Professor Taoheed Adedoja.

Adedoja, a Professor of Sports Administration was appointed by President Goodluck Jonathan to oversee the Sports Ministry following the resignation of former Minister, Ibrahim Bio, who wants to pursue his ambition to contest the 2011 gubernatorial elections in Kwara State.

“The NFF is confident that the new minister will continue with the good work of his predecessor, Alhaji Ibrahim Bio. We know his experience and knowledge as a Professor of Sports Administration will boost sports in the country,” Maigari said.

The NFF President equally applauded the former minister for his achievements while in charge of Sports in the country.

“Alhaji did his best for Sports in the country. We wish him the best as he aspires for a new position in his political career,” Maigari stated.

In another development, the NFF President conveyed his Christmas and New Year greetings to football enthusiasts and stakeholders in the country.

“I wish football lovers a Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year,” he said.
