Maigari’s journey to fame began at his native Bauchi State, where he was elected as chairman of the Bauchi State FA.
Football in Bauchi received a boost with his contribution that affected every aspect of the game in the state.
Maigari eventually took a step further by seeking a place on the board of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
However, he became acting chairman of the NFF after the sacking of erstwhile chairman, Alhaji Sani Lulu.
Maigari’s position as NFF boss was confirmed when he won the last elections.
Since he became NFF boss, Maigari has initiated steps aimed at boosting the game in the country.
